As a new baby mother who has to breast feed you should make sure that you drink lots of water ... Make a habit out of drinking a glass of water every time you feed your baby. This will ensure that you are getting your water, and help your body produce enough milk. ||Most newborns need eight to 12 feedings a day — about one feeding every two to three hours ||Trim your baby’s nails weekly after a bath when the nails are softened ||Look for early signs of hunger, such as stirring and stretching, sucking motions and lip movements. Fussing and crying are later cues ||Toddler's appetite may change almost daily. Let her be the judge of how much she needs and wants to eat. ||For protecting young children during summer months, apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going outside ||Make sure your baby wears a hat if she will be in a cold environment ||Sleep sacks and sufficient layers of clothing are safe alternatives to blankets for children less than six months of age ||Make a habit out of drinking a glass of water every time you feed your baby. ||If your child's scalp is very crusty, put some baby oil or olive oil on the scalp 1 hour before washing to soften the crust ||
