Don’t rush into solving your kid's problems. Give him the chance to conclude, all on his own, that things are going to be okay. ||To help your kid stand up to negative peer pressure, encourage him to talk, use role playing with him, get to know the parents of your child's friends and finally deal with your own peer pressure. ||Excessive warmth and overdressing are as harmful as cold weather. Temperature inside your home should not exceed 23 degrees ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Your baby's foot may seem flat, but that's because a layer of fat covers the arch. Within two to three years, this extra padding will disappear. ||AAP recommends to avoid blankets (a potential suffocation hazard) until your baby reaches her first birthday ||Trim your baby’s nails weekly after a bath when the nails are softened ||To keep the eye free of infection, massage inner lower corner of the eye twice daily to empty it of old fluids ||Expressing milk should be painless. Sweat Rash

It is a common cause of rash during summer season.

It is a maculo-papular rash due to mechanical obstruction of the sweat ducts.

The neck, trunk, diaper area and the covered areas of the skin are the commonest sites of affection.

Most parents and grandparents are afraid of the cold, many do even advice an extra layer of clothes to your baby. This is not true: it is normal for the babies to sneeze, to have green colored stools, to have slightly cold hands these are not indications that your baby is cold. The only true indication is a cold tip of the nose. It is normal to dress your baby as you dress, to turn the air condition on without fears.

Management:
  • Avoid further sweating
  • Do not irritate the skin: Avoidance of excessive clothing
  • Cooling of the affected area by cool water compresses
  • Avoid using talc powder, ointments and creams as they will further increase the mechanical obstruction.
  • Calamine lotion
