The only acceptable punishment for our children is time-out. No spanking, no shouting and no threatening ||During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||Make sure your baby wears a hat if she will be in a cold environment ||Colostrum is rich with all what baby needs for the first 2-3 days till the breast begins to produce milk ||Use a firm mattress and avoid placing your baby on thick, fluffy padding that may interfere with breathing if your baby's face presses against it ||Reflux is common in newborns. Most babies outgrow reflux between the time they are 1 and 2 years old ||Don’t forget to put labels with date and time on your expressed milk bottles to check expiry dates ||Look for early signs of hunger, such as stirring and stretching, sucking motions and lip movements. Fussing and crying are later cues ||Expressing milk should be painless. If it hurts, stop. ||It’s never too early to read for your child ||
