Booking Appointments:

The target is to allow the parent(s) or carers to choose the place and pick the appointment time at their convenience. This may be done by phone, the earlier the better to assure a suitable appointment, preferably at least a day before.

Waiting Policy:

We acknowledge that what patients and carers want is effective, appropriate health care without having to wait an unacceptably long time. Essentially, patients should be treated in order of clinical priority, and patients of the same clinical priority will be seen in turn. There are at least seven variables affecting the waiting time: appointment interval, service time, patients' arrival pattern, number of no-shows, number of walk-ins, physicians' arrival pattern, and interruptions in patient services. We do our best to minimize any waiting time for our patients, however, it is sometimes inevitable.

All staff are responsible for ensuring that all patients and their carers are treated equally and fairly and not discriminated against on the grounds of race, sex, disability, religion, age or any other factor. If there is an emergency medical condition, then from the start it should be served in the appropriate hospital not in the clinic. If, on the other hand, a child or his parents have a reason to believe they cannot wait for their turn, they may ask the permission of the other waiting parents to allow their child to be examined first.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy:

At MyChild guide we do our best to provide our patients with timely and efficient service. In order to achieve this, there is a minimum cooperation required from the parents or carers. While we understand that everyone' schedules may change unexpectedly, we do ask parents to notify us of any changes related to planned visits at the earliest possible date so that we can rearrange our schedules efficiently. Our secretaries will commonly call you the same day of your appointment to confirm your attendance.

Unfortunately, we have to delay the priority of patients who repeatedly cancel or not attend without notification.

Complaints:

If you do have any concern or complaint about any of the activities at My Child guide, we are happy to receive it on drwaellotfy@mychildguide.net or on paper at any of our offices attention of Dr. Wael Lotfy
