Your baby should have 4-6 wet diapers per day. This is a great way to monitor if they're getting enough milk ||Children who gain weight quickly during their first six months are more likely to be obese or at risk of obesity by age 3 ||Most newborns need eight to 12 feedings a day — about one feeding every two to three hours ||Plan for regular family meals. Enjoy being together as a family and give a chance for everyone to decompress from the day ||Use each feeding as an opportunity to build your newborn's sense of security, trust and comfort. ||If every feeding is painful or your baby isn't gaining weight, ask a lactation consultant or your baby's doctor for help ||Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. Make a habit out of drinking a glass of water every time you feed your baby. This will ensure that you are getting your water, and help your body produce enough milk. ||Proper weight gain is the sign that your baby is having enough milk. Not crying and not comparing with other kids ||Never pick up your infant by the hands or wrists as this can put stress on the elbows. Lifting under the armpits is the safest way ||
