In case of eczema, use mild, unscented body and laundry soaps. Pat baby's skin dry; don't rub ||Bathe baby for no more than ten minutes in warm water especially if he shows signs of skin eczema. ||Don’t rush into solving your kid's problems. Give him the chance to conclude, all on his own, that things are going to be okay. ||Preservatives, fragrances, harsh soap, rough fabric, sweat, and stress can be potential irritants for babies suffering from eczema ||Contact the doctor if your newborn isn't gaining weight, wets fewer than six diapers a day or shows little interest in feedings ||If your child's scalp is very crusty, put some baby oil or olive oil on the scalp 1 hour before washing to soften the crust ||The sun is the most important source of Vit D ||Presumably, your baby won't recall events from his life before age 3. Still, these early experiences outline his vision of the world ||Excessive warmth and overdressing are as harmful as cold weather. Temperature inside your home should not exceed 23 degrees ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||
Should i offer my baby some water?

 

You should offer your child water freely as much as he/she wants. Some children prefer to drink sweetened beverages. This is not advised and might be harmful on the long term.

 

Generally, offer your child the same water you are drinking.

 

If you are giving your child bottled water, review the fluoride content of the water. Fluoride is a mineral needed to prevent dental caries and is a component of our bones. Your child needs a minimum of 0.3mg/liter if his/her age is 6 months to 3 years, 0.65mg/liter if his/her age is 3 to 16 years. If your child's drinking water contains fluorides less than what was just defined, ask your doctor or call 2356 for fluoride supplementation advice.
