Don't forget to watch what you say and do around your child: Imitation is one of the ways toddlers learn socially acceptable behavior. ||The more you help your toddler put his feelings into words (“I’m mad. I want the truck.” “I’m sad. I can’t find my bear.”), the less they will show aggressive behaviour. ||After the first hectic weeks, babies take longer naps at predictable times. And you'll become a much better time manager ||Until your baby is 6 months old, he'll get all the hydration he needs from breast milk or formula, even in hot weather ||Don’t forget to put labels with date and time on your expressed milk bottles to check expiry dates ||Set aside time to spend with each child individually, so they don't feel like they're competing for your attention ||Don't allow your pet on the couch while you are holding baby. This makes dogs bigger and taller in relation to your infant and may encourage aggression. ||The pacifier’s guard or shield should have ventilation holes so the baby can breathe if the shield does get into the mouth ||Never tie a pacifier to your child’s crib or around your child’s neck or hand. This could cause serious injury or even death ||Don't let your baby nap in the car seat after you're home as a substitute for crib since it's harder for young babies to breathe in that position ||
Packing List for Trips

Especially with small ones, making a packing list with categories is an absolute must! Make a list for each kid before hand and keep it on the kitchen counter, so you can easily add to it whenever you remember something. You may group your items into different categories.

According to your destination, travel length, and way of transport, you may need some of these things:

Eat

Cutlery, plastic bowls, bibs, snacks for the trip and for the destination, baby jar foods, travel high chair, sippy cups, milk bottles etc.

Sleep

Pajamas, bed sheets, travel cot, favorite comforter or soft toy, music box, dummy etc.

Play

Inside toys - brain teaser games, puzzle books, travel board games

Outside toys - fold up Frisbees, soft balls, buckets, etc.

Clothes

Limit clothes for the kids to use up more space. Rolling them up and putting little toys, socks or undies inside shoes in bags also save on room.

Mini Medicine Chest

Car/Plane Stuff

Planning in advance with a categorised list will help you remember pretty much everything you need and if you have forgotten anything, do not worry... you can always buy it (unless you are stuck in the middle of nowhere!).
