Don’t rush into solving your kid's problems. Give him the chance to conclude, all on his own, that things are going to be okay. ||Your baby should have 4-6 wet diapers per day. This is a great way to monitor if they're getting enough milk ||Alternate the first breast you offer at each feed ||If every feeding is painful or your baby isn't gaining weight, ask a lactation consultant or your baby's doctor for help ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Design a kid corner and fill it with things safe for your toddler like Tupperware, toys, empty boxes, etc. ||During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||Don't let your baby nap in the car seat after you're home as a substitute for crib since it's harder for young babies to breathe in that position ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||It’s never too early to read for your child ||

Today, many parents wonder if it is wise for their children to have tonsillectomy.

 

Tonsillectomy is recommended if your child has any of the following:

1. Obstructed breathing during sleep
2. Difficulty swallowing
3. Recurrent throat infections:
• 7 in 1 year
• 5 a year for 2 years
• 3 a year for 3 years

4. Recurrent serious throat infections (abscesses)

 

In most cases, inflammation of the tonsils can be successfully treated with antibiotics.

There are always risks associated with surgery. However, if your child has restless sleep, poor growth, mouth-breathing with recurring swollen tonsils, or loud snoring, consult your doctor about doing tonsillectomy
