Trim your baby’s nails weekly after a bath when the nails are softened ||The AAP recommends sponge baths until the umbilical cord stump falls off — which might take up to three weeks ||During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||Bathe baby for no more than ten minutes in warm water especially if he shows signs of skin eczema. ||AAP recommends to avoid blankets (a potential suffocation hazard) until your baby reaches her first birthday ||Until your baby is 6 months old, he'll get all the hydration he needs from breast milk or formula, even in hot weather ||If your child's scalp is very crusty, put some baby oil or olive oil on the scalp 1 hour before washing to soften the crust ||Preservatives, fragrances, harsh soap, rough fabric, sweat, and stress can be potential irritants for babies suffering from eczema ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||Do not postpone your baby’s vaccines unless he is sick or feverish ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
