2- Breastfeeding your new baby ...Breast milk provides all the nutrients that babies need for the first six months of their life and guards against many illnesses and allergies. Also, breastfeeding can help build a special closeness with your baby. Breastfeeding is one of the best things you can do for your baby. ||During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||Colostrum is rich with all what baby needs for the first 2-3 days till the breast begins to produce milk ||In case of eczema, use mild, unscented body and laundry soaps. Pat baby's skin dry; don't rub ||When giving suspension or liquid medicines, use the dosage cup enclosed in the package or a syringe ||It’s never too early to read for your child ||Don't let your baby nap in the car seat after you're home as a substitute for crib since it's harder for young babies to breathe in that position ||Stop the continuous criticism to your teens. Highlight their qualities instead. ||Alternate the first breast you offer at each feed ||Whenever possible, don't get involved in your kids' clash. Step in only if there's a danger of physical harm. ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
