During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||Colostrum is rich with all what baby needs for the first 2-3 days till the breast begins to produce milk ||During the day, don't try to catch up on chores while the baby sleeps. Lie down and rest ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||Ask your baby's doctor about vitamin D supplements for the baby, especially if you're breast-feeding ||Proper weight gain is the sign that your baby is having enough milk. Not crying and not comparing with other kids ||Try to keep other elements of your baby's routine as normal as possible during the strike. ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||AAP recommends to avoid blankets (a potential suffocation hazard) until your baby reaches her first birthday ||Set aside time for your partner and share what's happening in each other's life ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
