Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. It’s not the type of soap that prevents the spread of bacteria and viruses; it’s how you wash your hands. ||As a new mommy, sleep when your baby sleeps. Silence your phone and ignore the dishes in the sink ||Make sure your baby wears a hat if she will be in a cold environment ||Colostrum is rich with all what baby needs for the first 2-3 days till the breast begins to produce milk ||The more you help your toddler put his feelings into words (“I’m mad. I want the truck.” “I’m sad. I can’t find my bear.”), the less they will show aggressive behaviour. ||Don't ever be afraid to ask for help from a friend or relative. Time away will let you recharge. ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||In case of eczema, use mild, unscented body and laundry soaps. Pat baby's skin dry; don't rub ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||You'll develop a unique parenting style that is right for your family and may be quite different from your neighbors and friends. ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
