Reflux is common in newborns. Most babies outgrow reflux between the time they are 1 and 2 years old ||During the day, don't try to catch up on chores while the baby sleeps. Lie down and rest ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Set aside time to spend with each child individually, so they don't feel like they're competing for your attention ||Most newborns need eight to 12 feedings a day — about one feeding every two to three hours ||The only acceptable punishment for our children is time-out. No spanking, no shouting and no threatening ||Exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months is the best prevention of food allergies ||Preservatives, fragrances, harsh soap, rough fabric, sweat, and stress can be potential irritants for babies suffering from eczema ||Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. It’s not the type of soap that prevents the spread of bacteria and viruses; it’s how you wash your hands. ||During growth spurts - around 6 weeks after birth — your newborn might want to be fed more often ||
