Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Preservatives, fragrances, harsh soap, rough fabric, sweat, and stress can be potential irritants for babies suffering from eczema ||Whenever possible, don't get involved in your kids' clash. Step in only if there's a danger of physical harm. ||Exclusive breastfeeding for at least 6 months is the best prevention of food allergies ||You'll develop a unique parenting style that is right for your family and may be quite different from your neighbors and friends. ||After the first hectic weeks, babies take longer naps at predictable times. And you'll become a much better time manager ||To help your kid stand up to negative peer pressure, encourage him to talk, use role playing with him, get to know the parents of your child's friends and finally deal with your own peer pressure. ||Contact the doctor if your newborn isn't gaining weight, wets fewer than six diapers a day or shows little interest in feedings ||Trim your baby’s nails weekly after a bath when the nails are softened ||There are some games, that you can play with your child to increase his ability to concentrate. • It is a physiological phenomenon due to spasmodic contraction of the diaphragm.
• it is mostly not a Warning sign for any critical illness which usually stops spontenuously.
• it is frequent in children and is usually more tolerable by them compared to the adults.
• it might interfere with breast feeding as the baby will stop suckling during Hiccup.
• It is more common with overfeeding or air swallowing with teat use.

Tips to stop Hiccup

  • The baby should be held in an upright position with gentle rubbing of his back
  • Drinking a small amount of warm water usually helps
