Most babies outgrow reflux between the time they are 1 and 2 years old ||The most important thing on growth curves is how your baby grows over time. If he's small but growing at the appropriate rate, there's usually no cause for concern. ||2- Breastfeeding your new baby ...Breast milk provides all the nutrients that babies need for the first six months of their life and guards against many illnesses and allergies. Also, breastfeeding can help build a special closeness with your baby. Breastfeeding is one of the best things you can do for your baby. ||Look for early signs of hunger, such as stirring and stretching, sucking motions and lip movements. Fussing and crying are later cues ||Breastfeeding releases Oxytocin which causes contractions of the uterus, helping to stop hemorrhage and initiating weight loss ||Never pick up your infant by the hands or wrists as this can put stress on the elbows. Lifting under the armpits is the safest way ||Don't forget to watch what you say and do around your child: Imitation is one of the ways toddlers learn socially acceptable behavior. ||Your toddler may be clumsy simply due to her trials to master so many new physical skills at the same time. The more active she is, the more likely she will drop things, run into things, or fall down. ||
G6PD Deficiency Guide

 

The G6PD diet is very easy to follow. However, if you don’t follow your diet you can get very sick. Some people become so ill that they have to be admitted to the hospital.
A mother who breastfeed a baby with G6PD should also follow the G6PD Diet.
If you avoid the following foods all of the time you will do well.

Foods to be avoided in G6PD patients:

Drugs and Chemicals That Should be Avoided by Persons with G6PD Deficiency:

Analgesics / Antipyretics

Acetanilid, acetophenetidin (phenacetin), amidopyrine (aminopyrine), antipyrine, aspirin, phenacetin, probenicid, pyramidone.

Sulfonamides/ sulfones:

Dapsone, sulfacetamide, sulfamethoxypyrimidine, sulphanilamide, sulfapyridine, sulfasalazine, sulfisoxazole.

Cytotoxic / Antibacterial:

Chloramphenicol, co-trimoxazole, furazolidone, furmethonol, nalidixic acid, neoarsphenamine, nitrofurantion, nitrofurazone, para-aminosalicylic acid.

Miscellaneous:

Alpha-methyldopa, ascorbic acid, dimercaprol (BAL), hydralazine, mestranol, methylene blue, nalidixic acid, naphthalene, niridazole, phenylhydrazine, toluidine blue, trinitrotoluene, urate oxidase, vitamin K (water soluble), pyridium, quinine.

Antimalarials:

Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, mepacrine (quinacrine), pamaquine, pentaquine, primaquine, quinine, quinocide.

Cardiovascular Drugs:

Procainamide, quinidine.
